I cannot even fathom the "right" words to console one when a Dad is lost - I heard many attempts when my Dad died, but none really helped. (Though I greatly appreciated the attempts - they were kind and helped ever so much.)
That being said, I am so very sorry to hear that your Dad isn't with us anymore. May his mischievous eyes (I can see them!) continue on with you and yours.
Cindy - I've always been nervous about giving words of condolence to others because I was afraid anything I said would be so weak and ineffectual but now I realize that, like you said, nothing really helps but it's all greatly appreciated. Just knowing that anyone cares enough to share a moment's sympathy means a lot. Thanks for sharing yours with me. <3
Shawntele - For all the prayers and hugs you've shared with me these past months, thank you will all my heart. (((hugs)))
